Eligibility Criteria

You must meet the following criteria to apply for the OIST Research Internship Program:

  • Academic Background: Currently enrolled in the final two years of a bachelor’s program, any year of a master’s program, or have recently graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • Approval: If currently enrolled, obtain approval from your home institution to participate.
  • Language Proficiency: You must exhibit proficiency in English, as all activities are conducted in English.
  • Insurance: Interns from Japanese institutions must provide their own insurance, such as a combination of Gakkensai and Gakkenbai, or equivalent coverage.
