GIST Scholarship 2025 Requirements
- Nationality: Open to international students (Korean citizens with dual nationality are not eligible)
- Academic Requirements:
- Must hold or expect to hold a Bachelor’s degree for M.S. applicants
- Must hold or expect to hold a Master’s degree for Ph.D. applicants
- Integrated M.S./Ph.D. applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree
- Degree must be obtained before July 2025
- English Proficiency Requirements:
- TOEFL iBT: 80 or higher
- IELTS (Academic Module): 6.5 or higher
- TOEIC: 750 or higher
- TEPS: 285 or higher
Conditional admission available for applicants without an English test score (must submit proof of English proficiency from their university president/dean).
How to Apply Online?
To apply successfully, you need to complete the GIST Scholarship 2025 application form:
- Submit an online application through the GIST online portal before April 14, 2025.
- Upload required documents in English or Korean (translated if necessary):
- Official degree certificates and transcripts (apostilled/notarized copies preferred)
- Two letters of recommendation
- English proficiency test score report
- Copy of passport
- Study Plan (Statement of Purpose)
- Letter of recommendation for Matriculation Fee Waiver (if applicable)
- Check email for notifications from the GIST Admission Team (interviews may be required).
- Receive admission decision by June 5, 2025.
- Submit enrollment documents and pay the Matriculation Fee (680,000 KRW) by July 4, 2025.
- Obtain a student visa from the Korean Embassy.
Matriculation Fee Waiver
- Applicants facing financial difficulties can apply for a Matriculation Fee Waiver.
- Requires a recommendation letter from the department chair of the applicant’s last attended university.
