Qatar Government Scholarship 2026

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) of Qatar has officially announced the opening of registration for the Qatar Government Scholarship 2026. This funded opportunity invites Qatari students who have successfully completed their high school diploma, along with other eligible groups, to apply for one of the three main scholarship tracks designed to expand academic and professional horizons.

The three scholarship streams include:

Abroad Scholarship Programme

Amiri Scholarship Programme

The Amiri Scholarship Programme is the most prestigious track, offered to outstanding students with the highest grades in high school. Eligible students can study at top 24 universities worldwide and five local universities from the approved list.

Eligibility Criteria

For Undergraduate Scholarships

  • Must be a Qatari national
  • Good conduct and behavior
  • Medically fit
  • Age must not exceed 25 years
  • If 5 years have passed since the high school diploma, minimum ACT score of 24 or IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent) required
  • Not employed in government or private sector
  • Male students must submit a statement from the National Service Academy
  • You must not have got any sponsor or scholarship before for the same or higher degree
  • Must sign an agreement to follow all scholarship regulations

For Graduate Scholarships

  • Must be a Qatari national
  • Good conduct and behavior
  • Medically fit
  • Age limits: Master’s (≤45 years), Doctorate (≤40 years)
  • Minimum grade: “Very Good” in previous degree (or “Good” with additional performance proof and recommendation)
  • Field of study must align with candidate’s professional duties
  • You must be providing approvals from Civil Service Bureau and Government Development
  • Must be available for work upon starting studies abroad
  • It is necessary that you’ve not received any sponsorship for the same or higher degree
  • Agreement to comply with all rules and regulations
