University of Twente Scholarship 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Please note that you need to fulfil the following requirements to apply for the University of Twente Scholarship (UTS):

• A non-EU/EEA country citizen. please check the complete list on the official website.
• Provisionally admitted to an eligible MSc program starting in September 2025
• Never completed a degree at the University of Twente before
• Not eligible for a Dutch study loan
• You must meet visa and residence permit requirements for studying in the Netherlands
• You must meet English proficiency standards:

1. IELTS score of 6.5 overall
2. TOEFL iBT score of 90
3. Minimum subscore of 6.0 (TOEFL iBT 20) in speaking

• Your chances of admission increase if you’re among the top 5-10% of your class academically
• You must hold a valid student number from the University of Twente
• Not a Dutch or EU/EEA student
• The UTS 2025 is not for programs offered by the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC)
• Pre-master’s students are not eligible

How to Apply

To apply for the University of Twente Scholarship 2025 in the Netherlands, the requirements include the following: 

• The first step is to apply for MSc program at the University of Twente
• Wait for a (provisional) admission letter (can take up to 8 weeks)
• After admission, submit a scholarship application by using your unique student number
• Applications for Round 2 open on 1 February 2025 and close on 1 May 2025, 16:00 CET
• You can only apply once for the UTS. If you are rejected in Round 1, you cannot reapply in Round 2
